Love, is all you need

Just watched David Tao in concert... what amazes me is his passion for making music. How he is not just there to make money i.e. commercialism but also to share his music with people. You can feel his dedication. You can see his dedication. He is involved from the production to the sound engineering and wow... it sure was a great concert.

I like passionate people. People who live their life strongly... not just by the trends or just passing by. But people who feel... people who fight... people who go lengths to do what they believe in...

I like David Tao.

I admire him for standing up for love. One of his song is called "Love, so simple" (oopz... i know this sounds very singlish... haha... its a direct translation from Chinese...hahah... maybe it should be - Love, its just that simple).

That was his last song for the concert. And it just sums up what he stood for, of how his music was to spread love. That he wants people to remember not him nor his songs that night but the atmosphere of love. Wow. The cynics will call it a marketing gimmick. But I think he meant it. Sometimes being passionate is foolish, from a cynic's point of view. Naive and idealistic. Hmm... but love is irrational many times. And God's love is. I used to be a MAJOR cynic. But the more I know God's love, the more 'unreal' it seems... but it IS real. That changes me. Love changes cynics. Its not that I'm a naive airhead that thinks the world is all roses but rather a new paradigm. I know I'm loved. I know God loves. Yet I know there is Sin that destructs. Its not God who creates evil, its us who in rebellion causes God to lift that protection. Sigh... if only we saw things in light... there will be less evil...

Yeah.... more love... that's what the world needs... its just so simple. Love. Not money, not power, not more material things nor even spiritual medals... but Love... No wonder God's 2 greatest commandments was to Love God and then to love people. Period.

Love. Like Jesus. Love.

Choice, Forfeit or Pursue Destiny

Spidey 2 was great! Could just identify with the humanity of a superhero.
The stuff that God tasks us to do... just makes us like a superhero - so many times beyond us.

Many times as we struggle with our humanity and also the price of our calling, we often forget that God is a Father who gives, not demands. We sometimes forget that the price seems big, but it is actually so tiny compared to the glory He will get and the fulfillment we will get by walking in our destiny. And that price often comes in a package of a relationship... the likes of Mary Jane.

Ha! No forfeit of my destiny for a bowl of gruel! Not gonna be as foolish as Esau!
God... keep me in your path!

He sees me through the seasons

Every evening sky, an invitation to trace the patterned stars
and early in july, celebration for freedom that is ours
and i notice you in childrens' games
in those who watched them from the shade
every drop of sun is full of fun and wonder
You are summer

Aand even when the trees, have just surendered to the harvest time
forfeiting their leaves in late september
and sending us inside, still i notice you when change begins
and i am braced for colder winds
i will offer thanks, for what has been and whats to come
You are autumn

And everything in time, and under heaven finally falls asleep
wrapped in blankets white, all creation shivers underneath
and still i notice you, when branches crack and in my breath on frosted grass
even now in death, you open doors for life to enter
You are winter

And everything thats new, has bravely surfaced
teaching us to breathe
what was frozen through, is newly purposed
turning all things green, so it is with You
and how You make me new, with every season's change
and so it will be, as You are re-creating me

summer, autumn, winter, spring

- Nicole Nordeman << Every Season >>

This song is precious. Learning about seasons.

Especially this time when I enter into spring. Winter was tough.. cold and also dreary at times. Some things close to my heart... had to die too. To make a way for the new.

As I entered spring... Wow... seeing all things new... seeing new purpose... being recreated. Wow. I am arising as God's darling.. venturing with Him in new places, meeting new people... travelling with Him... and enjoying spring. Such a beautiful season. Flowers. Colours. All things new. I have such a beautiful Daddy God who loves me and wants only the best for me. Awesome...

He makes all things beautiful...

Love ya, Daddy God!

Standing up to the voices in the past

I cringe every time you cut yourself down

You hide your pain like it doesn't count

So when I hear you laugh are you crying deep inside

'Cause you fall below the standards in your mind

Though you'd never deny our God's a loving God

You feel He turns away when you make mistakes

But our heavenly Father nurtures His own

To Him you matter more than you'll ever know

So let the Lord love you

Let His voice be heard above the rest

Hold on to what you know is true

And let the Lord love you

We may search for truth, but we listen more to lies

Play them over and over in our minds

Till we're left with some distorted point of view

That cripples who we are and all we do

There are times you've gotta fight for all you're worth

Stand up to the voices from the past

And as you draw close to Him the more moments you'll have

When His love overwhelms and you know it's true

That the Lord, He loves you

So let His voice be heard above the rest

Hold on to what you know is true

And let the Lord love you

You gotta let the Lord love you

- Rory Noland

As a media artist... its so easy to just live for standards. Falling short of our own standards or others seem a sin...

Why should we? When we partner with God and do the best within a given time... we've already advanced and improved... even if others do not like it... God still does...He's the ultimate critique...

Past failures can be obstacles. Stand up stand up Jael...to the voices of the past... voices of failure... voices that say you must succeed... now! voices that say you're nothing... because YOU ARE NOT! You are fearless in Christ. He loves you! =)

Changin the Past

I've always thought one cannot change the past.

I was wrong.

I like what Ashton Kutcher said when he was interviewed about his new flick "the butterfly effect". He said this:

"I think we do have the ability to change our past by our current actions and the things we do." He goes on to elaborate that with every current step he takes, he changes the past by overcoming obstacles and by making the wrong things in the past better / right.

If you think deeper, what you do now, will become past. Facing the present, making adjustments and changes, will effect the past. The past then becomes better.

No wonder God said that He is "I am". Not "I was" or "I will be". I value God more. With him I do not need to live in my past. But I can have hope and strength to accept the past and face the NOW. In facing the NOW, I shape the past and the future. Wow.

Thank you Jesus! =) Love ya!
